A BESPOKE NURSERY FOR EARLSFIELD
Situated in the heart of a community infused housing development, The Grove was our second setting to open within the Magdalen family.
This purpose-built nursery has been created across a vast space which in fact use to be the communal car park area for the apartments above, however the concrete walls and huge expansive floor space enabled us to create a vision and bring it to life in creating an extremely unique and beautiful setting.
From the lights to the taps to the internal layout and structure, this nursery truly was the perfect opportunity for us to use our years of experience to tailor make and create the perfect setting for children in the local area to learn, grow and thrive.
THE GROVE
At The Grove our open plan style, is something that truly has to been seen to be believed. Decorated intricately with an array of raw materials such as concrete, steel and wood throughout plus the addition of feature wallpaper, textured surfaces and spaces, splashes of colour pop colours and design features such as plants, flowers and decorative lighting set ups.
LARGE SPACE – BIG FUN
Our key focus is ensuring we provide an engaging and inviting environment, allowing opportunities for children to thrive. Our dedicated baby room has a sensory space inspiring awe and wonder and a boudoir area for quiet time and a cosy sleep space.
LARGE SPACE –
BIG FUN
Our key focus is ensuring we provide an engaging and inviting environment, allowing opportunities for children to thrive. Our dedicated baby room has a sensory space inspiring awe and wonder and a boudoir area for quiet time and a cosy sleep space.
Our preschool children enjoy an expansive floor space which has section areas whilst still in an open plan concept, including a home corner, art area, floor play space, a stage area and an interactive white board screen to enhance and extend ICT skills and social activities.
In our Toddler rooms we have a disco room, with stage lighting which excites our children and sparks their imagination and play. With two amazing cosy dens’, the Toddlers are able to have some personal quiet time within their room or this also provides the perfect backdrop for small group story times or projection light shows. We also have a sunken sand pit in this area to extend creative play, a designated art area and a beautiful cookery school which has a stunning larder filled with child sized cooking and baking equipment and goodies.
We also have a special sunken sand play area to enable and encourage seated creative play with peers. In our Pre-Toddler room we have a real brick house feature, which provides the opportunity to recreate home experiences, encourages role play and socialisation with peers and has endless play opportunities. We also have a under 2’s outdoor play area filled with an array of exciting and engaging equipment and resources to promote development, soft play surfaces, age appropriate climbing facilities and much more.
Our over 2’s outdoor space is simply magical with a variety of stimulating and stunning, hand made wooden resources and equipment such as a climbing frame, balance beams, wall mounted chalk boards, a large exploration sandpit, a growing and planting area and our ever popular mud kitchen area where the children love getting muddy and messy and having lots of fun.
The Grove is designed to create a stimulating base for the childrens learning and development. The nursery has five stunning classrooms, filled with natural resources and toys to promote free exploration for all and we are currently in the process of achieving our Curiosity Approach accreditation so the nursery will be evolving over the next year or so in to an even more incredible and beautiful place for the little ones.
LET’S EAT
Our varied and delicious menu is freshly prepared on site in our fully fitted commercial kitchen, producing home cooked food and snacks daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have a zero tolerance policy to salt, sugar, processed foods and pre made sauces to ensure the children are getting the absolute best nutrition and foods available.
A LITTLE EXTRA
Our children thrive through our extra-curricular activities carried out weekly.
Our amazing dance teacher from Deborah Jayne’s School of Dance teaches dance through fun and engaging activities supporting children’s learning through music and dance for all age groups.
Stories come to life through our Debutots sessions encouraging expression and a love of literacy. This starts as a sensory and movement experience through stories moving to drama and retelling stories as they grow through the nursery.
Regular outings in our local community and beyond give children opportunities to explore the world around them with their peers.
Our cookery school gives children the opportunity to learn about food and how it is prepared. Sessions are run regularly with our amazing team and support from our kitchen, giving children skills for life and promoting independence and confidence.
Our menu’s are approved by a qualified nutritionist to ensure a balanced approach. We follow a two week seasonal rotating menu, ensuring our children are receiving the most delicious and fresh ingredients daily as food is a huge aspect of a Childs wellbeing and development and meal times provide endless opportunities from social aspects to physical development and of course the promoting of self-serving skills and independence.
